DESCRIPTION:A number of golfing friends had a meeting recently. We discussed the podcast “Chasing Scratch” to see if people are simply wanting to play golf\, or if they are wanting to get better at golf. Rather than have a follow up meeting / another discussion\, we decided to talk through things further on the golf course.  \nThe venue used to be called the Reserve at East Bay. If you haven’t been to the Timpanogos Golf Club in the last 2 years\, you are missing out! They made some incredible changes and you are going to LOVE the new layout\, the new holes\, and everything about the facility. \nWe will still try and get 7 people there each time. We’ll break into 2 groups\, and play a little team game against each other\, but still keep track of our own scores (for handicap purposes). We usually start around 7:00 am and have both groups done no later than 9:30 am. We finalize the tee times 7 days in advance\, then we email everyone who had RSVP’d for that day and time. As always\, we will cover the costs of the tee times and the golf carts.

What would it take to get to scratch?\n\nMark and I discussed this. DESCRIPTION:I get it\, this one is a bit different. My friend Spencer loves train rides. He will be hosting a small group of people. NOTE: You’ll buy your own ticket. Expect to pay about $150 for the round trip ticket (visit Amtrak.com for more info)\, and you get a tour guide for the [very long] day. You’ll also pay for lunch and ice cream. As of the end of March\, we have 9 people currently RSVP’d! \nSpencer says: \nIF the train is on time\, the general itinerary is to board in Provo at around 4:30am and arrive at Glenwood Springs around noon. I then go to a brewpub across the street for lunch (or one of many other options) and then go get ice cream at Sundae before boarding the next train home around 2pm and arriving back in Provo at around 9:30pm. \nAny questions?
