In general terms, our client is a successful company in the athletics department, specializing in making sports easier for people to play. They wanted greater brand and company awareness so they could be even more successful.

Marketing Goals

After years of helping this client successfully increase sales through Google ads and search engine optimization, this client was looking for more ways to expand their reach and introduce their brand to new audiences. Paid advertising was already working well for consumers searching for similar products. This client wanted to expand their customer base by introducing their brand to consumers who were likely to buy, but hadn’t heard of their product yet.

The Challenge

This company has already seen much success with us managing their Google Ads. They wanted to grow in brand recognition and traffic to their website. They already were utilizing many free and organic marketing campaigns. In order to vastly increase brand awareness they needed to find new means of reaching their target audience.

Our Approach

Define Target Audience

We went into our client’s Google Ads account, Google Analytics and Consumer-provided data to define the ideal target audience for the client. Since we had already been running their accounts for several years, we already had all the data we needed. We used our consumer information to determine the best strategies to reach customers who were further up the marketing funnel.

Create a Targeted YouTube Campaign

In order to save on costs of creating new videos, we used videos the client already had produced and published in our campaign. This not only saved money on production costs, but streamlined the whole process, saving ample time as well. After selecting the videos that would be most likely to bring interest to the company, we were able to create a targeted YouTube campaign within Google Ads.

Consistent Account Optimization

While keeping a close eye we were able to make changes to the YouTube campaign, we were able to make changes to target audience and marketing messages as we found them necessary.

Our Results

Over the Course of Three Years
Two weeks into the campaign:

  • 3.42 Million Impressions, 141k Views, and $513 Cost Per Conversion

A year into the campaign:

  • 13.7 Million Impressions, 1.68 Million Views, and $267 Cost Per Conversion

Three years into the campaign:

  • 63.4 Million Impressions, 5.82 Million Views, and $283 Cost Per Conversion

Comparing this time period in the account  to the previous time period, we have seen the amount of conversion for the company more than double. We continue to see results from this campaign as we refine and optimize the account.
